The Aptera is a futuristic environmentally-friendly car and is available for purchase! The three-wheeled hybrid comes in 2 options: all-electric or plug-in hybrid, which can be reserved for only a $500 deposit.
Seating is for 2 and has plenty of room for luggage. The Aptera can get up to 230 miles per gallon at 55 miles per hour, and has a top speed of 95 mph (electronically limited).
Of the two eco-friendly options available, the all-electric option is powered exclusively with batteries that can last about 120 miles and only takes a few hours to fully charge the vehicle. The plug-in hybrid option is powered by an electric drive train and a fuel efficient gasoline powered generator.
The Aptera comes with all standard features, including airbags, CD/MP3/DVD player, GPS navigation, and a rear view camera. There is also a solar assisted climate control system. The Aptera vehicle will cost about $26,900 for all-electric and $29,990 for the plug-in.
