The NRG Dock is a handy solar gadget charger that comes in two versions, home and apartment. Connected to the dock inside the house, it’s powerful enough to power laptops. On the other hand, apartment versions comes with a suction cup designed to be stuck to an apartment window and only powerful enough to charge small gadgets like your cell phone or MP3 player. Retail price for the home version is $800 USD and $500 USD for the apartment version. It’s planed to be released sometime later this year, most likely during the fall.
$800 is expensive but a calculation to determine how much energy it saves could be done. Still an interesting product. Just found the site and I really like what I see.
