Plastic bags have been under a lot of heat lately due to their ‘bad’ contribution to landfills because they never biodegrade. Well, finally there is something in production to solve that problem. Researchers at the Missouri University of Science and Technology are developing hybrid plastics that could biodegrade within 4 months. If used in their most popular form, grocery bags, it would greatly reduce the amount of waste in our landfills. This special hybrid plastic could serve useful as product packaging as well.
