1) Find an alternative mode of transportation. When is the last time you took out your bike, walked, or carpooled?
2) Drive Smart. Drive within the speed limit, Don’t top off your gas tank, Replace your car’s air filter, and keep your tires properly inflated.
3) Choose Air-Friendly Products. Select products that are water-based, paint with a brush and not a sprayer, and store solvents in air-tight containers.
4) Save Energy. Turn off the lights in unused rooms, use fluorescent lighting in your home, buy energy saving appliances, and use a programmable thermostat that automatically adjusts the air conditioning and heater.
5) Do Not Waste. Choose recycled products, reuse paper bags and recycle plastic, glass, plastics and metals.
