Volkswagon plans on producing a 1 Liter car ready for sale by early 2010 that will get 235 mpg. The high-achieving mpg goal, apparently was developed as a concept back in 2002 and is very much, in the works. The body of the car is made of plastic and magnesium and the one-cylinder engine has a top speed of about 74 mph.
I would want this car now, especially the way that gas prices have been lately.

What I’d really like to have is an MZB of the newer class. Iknow, I know, it’s really expensive and wasteful. Do you feel safe in these puny cars on the road here in California?
